Teel Ravens at Paramus 05/18/08

The 18th started sunny and ended rainy but it wouldn't slow down the Elite.

Paramus started in the top of the first with Chris getting some needed mound time and pitched great.  No hits and 1 walk.  The bats started quick.  Brandon led off with a single and James followed with a triple and an error allowed him to score.  Jimbo reached on an error, Conor walked, Nick singled in Jimbo and Emil ripped a hot shot that first baseman could not handle and 2 more runs scored.  Brandon pitched the next 2 innings allowing 1 walk and no hits.  The Elite scored one in the second on a single by Joe and a long triple to dead center off the bat of Danny (nubs).  In the third the Elite put up 5 more on a single by Jimbo, walk by DeNigris, Niland hit by pitch, single by Chris and back-to-back walks to Joe and Nubs.  The 4th inning was pitched by Nubs only giving up a single and no runs.  The Elite fourth was like most others on this day, 5 more runs.  Walk to Brandon, back-to-back errors and then 4 straight singles by Heim, DeNigris, Niland and LaMarca.  Joe came and threw a 1-2-3 bottom 5 and the game was mercied.

Paramus vs Hackensack Comets 05/11/08

Paramus vs Hackensack Comets for first place in 9U AA Cerbo East was a treat of a game.  Both teams were 4-0 coming in so this was for first place.

Paramus could not get anything across in the first despite having 2 men on on walks to Smith and Heim.  Hackensack got nothing across in their first going 1-2-3 with 2 strikeouts by DeNigris.  Top 2 started with a bang on Niland's second homer of the year.  The inning continued on a single by Regalbuto who was later forced out and with 2 outs the bottom third of the order smoked the ball and plated 2 more.  A double by "nubs" Criscione and a long single by Bonino.  DeNigris shut Hackensack down with a single walk but no threat.  The bottom of third bought Hackensack a little closer as the the bottom of their order struck with back-to-back walks and a single.  Smith came in and the top 3 in their order down on two pop ups and grounder back to the pitcher. 3-1 after 3.  Paramus added 1 in top 4 on HBP for Heim who later scored on a single by LaMarca.  A little shoddy defense gave Hackensack 1 more in the fourth and Smith shut them down with bases loaded 1 out by strucking 2 batters in a row to thwart the potentially big inning. 4-2 after 4.  Paramus created some room in the fifht by plating 4 runs on a bunt single by Jo. Rendine, walk to Nubs andother shot to the gap for Bonino (double), single by Smith, double by James and single by DeNigris.  Hackensack added 1 more in their half of the fifth on 3 hits. 8-3 after 5.  Paramus added 1 in the 6th on a double by Jimbo and back-to-back singles by Niland and LaMarca.  Hackensack added 2 more in their bottom 5 on a few walks, a hit and an error. 9-5 after 6.  The top of the 7th was a huge inning as Paramus added 5 more lead by a single by Smith and a double by James.  Hard hit balls force errors for Bonino and Niland.  The bottom of the 6th went 1-2-3.

Great game boys!
